Why Orange County families choose a living trust

With Orange County home values, probate gets expensive. California law sets attorney and executor fees as a percentage of the estate: on a $1,000,000 estate they can reach about $46,000 combined (Probate Code §§10800, 10810) — and the case can take a year or more. A living trust lets your family transfer property privately, without probate.

Our flat fee: $999 for your living trust. Moving your home into the trust is separate: deed preparation and recording with the County Recorder +$200.

Complete package — $1,499: living trust + pour-over will + power of attorney (separately $1,649–$1,699). Deed to move your home into the trust + county recording: +$200.

Questions

Do I need a lawyer to make a living trust?

No. A registered Legal Document Assistant can prepare your trust at your direction. For legal advice about your plan, consult an attorney.

Can I change it later?

Yes. A revocable living trust can be amended or restated while you are alive and competent.

I already have a will. Is that enough?

A will alone still goes through probate if the estate is over the small-estate limit. A trust avoids that for property held in the trust.
